Julie, I thought you might enjoy this:

If you concentrate on being stressed and worried long enough, you will finally get really good at it.  Then you will be able to do it without even thinking about it and happiness will be next to impossible.  Choose your thoughts carefully, they are your future.

Thank you Julie! That is an excellent idea. I was able to get my mom to read "God's Way Is Still the Best Way" so when I talk to her about that story she will know what I"m talking about. That's an excellent idea!!

Hi Julie! Both kids got their books. Stephanie was so excited! Ryan called and asked if I ordered a Zig Ziglar book for him. I said yes. And I said something don't you remember....and he said"Your story is in the book?" I didn't remember. It should be a good course of encouragement when things aren't as you planned. Remembering it is always God's plan is most important. Thank you so much again, Zigler family!

Thank you Julie it means the world to hear that. I will have to share this with my mom because it was a breakthrough for me to get her to see things in a different light. She's happy to share with me where she has gotten in your dad's book I lent her.

Since her original sickness set in she's become depressed because she wants to know "why her". She does have days where things are very good. She was always a "go-getter", so young and vibrant but being sick seems to have aged her. Now she asks, "What good am I to anyone? I can't do anything for anyone." As small as the answer was I just said to her "change the way you are looking at that, you do a lot for others. Ok so physically you can't do as much as you were always able to but look at babies for instance, what can they do for us? They make us happy just being here." I also told her we're all here for her now like she was always there for us (she raised the 5 of us on her own after my father passed away). Showing her this will brighten her day!

Hi! I originally bought Embrace the Struggle for my mom who has been sick for quite some time now (off and on and just can't seem to get back to herself). She's been in and out of the hospital for many different things all related to her original sickness. She had become upset with me and said all she needs was her bible. So I lent her my book, "God's way is still the best way" and she accepted that with open arms. I'm reading Embrace the Struggle, not finished yet but it's helping me see things in a different way. Thank you to you and your father!!

Hi Julie - Sorry it took me so long to answer. I haven't been as attentive to my e-mail. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. I trust you are well. I have been considering getting the Courtship After Marriage series for our son. I think he needs to hear Zig's positive message about keeping it fresh and full of love. Our daughter Stephanie told me the other day she hadn't received her copy of Embrace the Struggle. I may have misunderstood that they were going to receive a copy of the book. I thought I gave you their addresses. Maybe not. Julie - Every good wish to you as the sun is shining in Ohio on this beautiful Wednesday morning. God bless you. Linda
